The exploitation of women and children is a tragic problem in Cambodia.  Many are sold into servitude and even sexual slavery. Many become mothers at an early age, then are despised and cast out by their society. Vulnerable to further abuse, they often end up living on city streets with both emotional and physical scars and with little hope for the future.  

STOPstart Global works to address the needs of these women & children. STOPstart's heart is to build awareness of the issue of trafficking and to enable these women and children to start a new life.

Cambodia experiences significant internal and cross-border trafficking, and is a country of origin, transit & destination. STOPstart is working to help put a stop to this.
Currently, they employ 45 women, who are now able to support their families with the income they earn.

The women make two beautiful lines of bags. The first contains their lovely hand woven silk handbags. Available in many colors and different styles, there is certainly something for everyone.

Second is their recycled collection of eco-friendly lifestyle bags. This is an amazing line of more funky styles made out of recycled rice & feed bags. Available in a rainbow of different colors and an assortment of styles, you are sure to find something that is just right for you. (or a friend!) Each bag is a unique, one-of-a-kind purchase.
